Excess and Extras
At CarHire.com.au we partner with world class rental companies who aim to provide the most complete and accurate online quotes & bookings. There are a number of charges in addition to the actual rental price, such as GST, airport pickup fees, vehicle registration fees, stamp duty and excess reduction fees (optional). Where ever possible these charges will be included in your quote so that you are not surprised with the charges on pickup. There maybe additional charges on pickup of which we have outlined estimates below.
- Under age driver surcharge(usually under 25 years old) between $13 - $17 per day extra and the excess may not be able to be reduced.
- One way rentals/hires. Depending on their locations, drop off fees can apply. Need to check with each company if one way is provided for the locations selected.
- Various airports levy an "Airport Recovery Tax" of between 6.5% to 10%, on the total rental amount.
Normally there is a standard excess which can be reduced with an optional extra payment. Following are estimated costs to reduce the excess.
