Flight DelaysIt is important to advise of flight numbers, and flight delays where possible. Europcar policy is to practise a 2 hour holding procedure. Further delays need to be advised by contacting Europcar on 1300 13 13 90 to ensure the reservation is held. Contact NumberA mobile, or landline is mandatory for confirmation. Europcar Staff will need this to contact you if your arrival is delayed. Incorrect information may jeopodise your reservation. Credit Card PaymentEuropcar Asia Pacific accepts all recognised major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard, American Express and Diners Card. The credit card used for payment of the rental must be in the renters name and embossed on the front of the card. The renter's signature must appear on the back of the card. Renters under 25 as well as renters of 4WD and Luxury vehicles must present a credit card on arrival. Europcar require an authority on the credit card for the rental cost plus $385 (including GST) Europcar does accept debit cards embossed with the Visa or Mastercard emblem as a form of payment (van, luxury and specialty fleet excluded). Payment via a debit card will require leaving a security bond, which will be refunded at the end of the rental. If a debit card is presented Europcar will charge your client a security bond of $385AUD or $338NZD plus the full rental costs. This additional security bond will be refunded back to the original card used once the vehicle has returned. The refund can take from around 7 days. Europcar will accept debit card in limited circumstances on some standard passenger vehicles (not luxury, specialty or vans). Payment by debit card requires a bond to be paid at the start of the rental, and refunded on return. Europcar states if payment is by Debit card, the renter must also reduce their loss damage waiver. Please contact Europcar reservation centre on 1300 13 13 90 to find out more. Luxury fleet refer next section. Luxury Fleet (Audi or Similar) Effective immediately, all new reservations for Audi rentals (excluding the Audi A3) will require two credit cards to secure the rental. The first credit card will be charged the rental amount and the second credit card will be charged a security bond of $100. If there are no additional charges, this security bond will be refunded upon the vehicle's return. Security deposit of the full damage excess amount is required. Credit cards only accepted. Debit and Letter of Authority not accepted (excludes A3, A4, and Compact Diesel or similar groups). Customers wishing to rent an Audi will be asked for a security deposit equivalent to the Damage Liability Fee, for example: Standard DLF then $5500 will be preauthorised and Reduced DLF $990 will be pre authorised. Drivers LicencesOnly You will drive the Vehicle. You have not within the three years prior to the Rental Period on Part A been convicted of an offence relating to driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs; or with a blood alcohol level over any legal limit. You are 21 years of age or over (higher age limits may apply on some vehicle classes). You must hold a valid current unrestricted motor vehicle driver's licence for the particular class of vehicle hired (learners permits and provisional or probationary licences are not acceptable). You have not been refused nor had any motor vehicle insurance cancelled for any reason within the three years prior to the Rental Period on Part A. RestrictionsYour driver's licence must be written in English or is an international driver's licence translated in English. Additional driversAn additional driver is someone who is not "The Renter" but is someone the renter is giving permission to drive the vehicle as an "Authorised Driver". Any additional driver's need to show their Drivers Licence at the time of rental. Every additional driver is charged an additional driver fee of $5.50 inclusive of GST per day. This is capped at 5 days per additional driver. AgeThe minimum age for all drivers is 21. Drivers aged 21 to 24 are restricted to the types of vehicles they can hire, please contact phone number 1300 13 13 90 for details on Europcar rentals. All Drivers under the age of 25 are subject to a daily age surcharge of $27.50 inclusive of GST. FuelIf You do not select the Prepaid Fuel Option (where available), and You return the Vehicle with less fuel than it had when You rented it, You must pay the refuelling fee detailed on Part A. ETagIn Melbourne, there are many major road systems that have automatic tolls. The general public has an ETag fitted to their vehicle that registers every toll charge. The customer in turn pays this fee direct to CityLink. Without an ETag there are heavy fines and penalties. When a Europcar vehicle travels on these roads, a charge is billed to the vehicle registration. Europcar offer clients the option of purchasing a toll pass at the rental agreement stage. These charges are on a per calendar day basis. This means that if the customer purchases a toll pass for a 24 hours rental period (one day hire), then the cost to purchase a ¡®passenger vehicle¡¯ toll pass would be $27.18 , plus state and government taxes. Where you can and cannot drive the vehicle3.1 Subject to clause 3.3 You must only use the Vehicle on a surface which is sealed. 3.2 Subject to clause 3.3 You may use the Vehicle on a gazetted road, if it is a 4WD however this specifically excludes Subaru Impreza, Subaru Outback and all Audi models whatever configuration as per above. In New Zealand You may use any Vehicle on a gazetted road except those roads/areas listed in clause 3.4. 3.3 In Australia You must not drive or take the Vehicle without Europcar' s prior written consent:
