No Birds Terms and Conditions

Important Information

1. Rental Vehicle Excess - AUD $2,000

The excess for your chosen vehicle is AUD $2,000 As owners of the car, the rental company has full insurance for your chosen rental vehicle. Basic cover is included in the rental quote however, if the car is damaged, stolen or Third Party Loss occurs during your journey, you must pay up to the Rental Vehicle Excess amount listed in your rental agreement, providing you have adhered to the terms of your agreement. NoBirds refer to their excess as the Damage Excess. Windscreen, wheel, tyre, headlight, underbody and overhead damage to the car, any damage to vehicle extras (including child seats, GPS & personal belongings) and roadside assistance (eg. towing, off-road time, locked keys or misfuelling) are excluded from the capped Damage Excess.

2. Credit Card Surcharge - 0%

No credit card fee is charged.

3. Security Deposit/Bond - AUD $500

A valid credit card in the renter's name is required for booking and must have available credit for the estimated amount of rental charges plus a bond AUD $500 for any incidental charges in order to secure the rental.

4. Accepted Cards - MasterCard / Visa

A valid credit card in the renter's name is required for booking. Digital, un-named, un-numbered, or another person's name is not accepted.

Cash Payments: NoBirds do not accept payments by cash.

Debit Card Payments: Payment by debit cards is accepted.

If you don't have a credit card, please contact Vroom at the time of booking so that we can assist you with finding a provider that will accept your preferred payment method.

5. Driver and Licence Requirements

When you pick up the car, please have your Passport or national ID card, driving licence (in English) and acceptable credit or debit card/s present.

Drivers Licence & ID: NoBirds recognises all current non-probationary Australian driver's licences and current overseas licences. P Plate and Probationary licences are accepted.

Accepted Driver's licences must be in English with photo and produced at the commencement of the rental and must not be expired. Should the valid driver's licence be in another language or have no photo NoBirds will accept a certified translation in English or an International driver's permit.Should the licence not have a photo, an International Driving Permit must accompany it.

Driver Age Requirements: All renters must be aged at between 21-79 years old at the commencement of the rental.

6. Additional Drivers - AUD $5 per day, max AUD $25

Additional driver/s can be added to the rental agreement at the time you collect your hire car at the rental counter and must suffice the licence and age requirements noted above.

Charges of AUD $5 each per day apply for all additional drivers capped at AUD $25 per rental.

7. Fuel Policy

Full to Full: The vehicle is supplied with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank or additional fees will apply.

8. Mileage

WA: Includes unlimited FREE Mileage within 500km of Perth.

NSW/ACT: Includes unlimited FREE Mileage within NSW/ACT.


NSW Pickup Terms and Conditions

The benefits of this agreement are in addition to and do not exclude any rights or obligations under the Competition and Consumer Act or similar State Laws

1. The Lessee agrees to:

a. Return the car to the Owner at the depot from which it was taken at the agreed time stipulated.
b. Not refuse to be tested for, nor drive with the presence of alcohol, or drugs
c. Warrant that the lessee and any listed co-drivers are holders of a valid motor driver’s licence
d. Accept responsibility for a breach of these conditions by the co-driver, if one is listed
e. Not allow any other person to drive the car
f. Drive the car only on sealed roads
g. Not wilfully damage the car, including; not carry surfboards or any item on the roof
h. A $300 replacement key charge, if the key is not returned with the car
i. Return the car full of unleaded petrol - shortages are charged at $2.80 per litre
j. Only have the car towed or repaired with the permission of the Owner
k. A $25 administration fee for each traffic-infringement in addition to the fine
l. Our Fair Use Policy. e.g. not use the car for security patrols, nor courier deliveries
m. A $100 fee if the car is taken into Victoria, or Queensland-South-of-Bundaberg
n. Not take the car into; South Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory, orQueensland-North-of-Bundaberg

2. The lessee agrees to pay for all road toll charges incurred, plus a $1 administration fee for each toll.

3. If the car is damaged, the Lessee agrees to:

a. Not leave the scene of an accident until Police attend
b. Obtain all details and assist the Owner with the recovery of damages
c. Not admit, or apportion blame
d. Complete a Police Report and the Owners damage-report-form within 24hours
e. Provide confirmation to the Owner that the lessee and listed co-driver have a valid driver's licence
f. Pay for all damages (including theft), where the key is not returned to the Owner

4. The lessee agrees to the following apportionment and limitations of costs by authorising to have their Visa card, or Mastercard debited;

a. The charges, as agreed on the face hereof
b. AU $2,000 maximum for each occurrence of damage to the Owner's vehicle (AU$4,000.00 for each occurrence starting 01/05/2021)
c. All damages related to a breach of these conditions

5. If within 30 minutes from signing the lessee returns to the owner to raise a doubt, about the car or the conditions being satisfactory, the Owner will cancel this agreement and reimburse the full deposit.

6. The Owner’s business hours are;

From 7a.m to 6:30pm weekdays, from 8a.m to 3:30pm Saturdays, from 9a.m to 3:30 p.m Sundays. Closed Public Holidays. The car shall be charged for until checked in by the Owner during business hours. Each whole 24 hour period shall be charged as 1 day. One tenth of the daily charges will apply for each hour over 24 hours (e.g. 26 hours would be charged as 1.2 days).

7. The Owner may monitor the car with a tracking device.

Should the car not be returned within the agreed time stipulated, the lessee may be deemed to have stolen the car and the Owner may take steps to regain possession, including police action and nationwide circulation of personal details with photographs.

8. All transactions are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD).


WA Pickup Terms and Conditions

The benefits of this agreement are in addition to and do not exclude any rights or obligations under the Competition and Consumer Act or similar State Laws

h. Return the key to the Owner if the car is stolen.
i. Only have the car towed or repaired with the permission of the Owner.
j. A $75 Call-out fee for each RAC roadside service.
k. A $25 administration fee for each traffic-infringement in addition to the fine.
l. Our Fair Use Policy. e.g. not use the car for security patrols, nor courier deliveries.
m. Drive the car within 500km of Perth; Limits include: Geraldton, Paynes Find, Southern Cross, Jerramungup, Albany.
n. A $100 fee will Extend area of Use; Limits include: Exmouth, Meekatharra, Kalgoorlie, Norseman, Esperance.

2. If the car is damaged, the Lessee agrees to:

a. Not leave the scene of an accident until Police arrive.
b. Obtain all details and assist the Owner with the recovery of damages.
c. Not admit, or apportion blame.
d. Complete a Police Report.
e. Complete the Owners damage-report-form forthwith.
f. Not have the car towed, without permission of the Owner.

3. The lessee agrees to the following apportionment and limitations of costs by authorising to have their Visa card, or Mastercard debited;

a. The charges, as agreed on the face hereof.
b. A $2,000 charge for each occurrence of damage, irrespective of fault, including: windscreen damage, tyre damage, lost Satnav and lost keys.
c. All damages related to a breach of these conditions; including: where details are not obtained, willful damage and theft damages where keys have not been returned to the Owner.

4. If within 30 minutes from signing the lessee returns to the owner to raise a doubt, about the car or the conditions being satisfactory, the Owner will cancel this agreement and reimburse the full deposit.

From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Weekdays. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays (Subiaco & Fremantle Closed Sunday). Closed Public Holidays. The said car shall be charged for until checked in by the Owner during business hours. Each whole 24 hour period shall be charged as 1 day. One tenth of the daily charges will apply for each hour over 24 hours (e.g. 26 hours would be charged as 1.2 days).

6. The owner may monitor the car with a tracking device.

Should the car not be returned within the agreed time stipulated, the lessee may be deemed to have stolen the car and the Owner may take steps to regain possession, including police action and nationwide circulation of personal details with photographs.
